Red Baraat Vienna Concert reviews
Depeche Mode 8-17-09 Hollywood Bowl
"Monday Night at the Hollywood Bowl was a truly remarkable experience! Despite being a fan for decades and attending only a few shows, their ability to energize the audience remains incredible. The concern arose about the show's fate, given recent cancellations in San Francisco and San Diego earlier in the week. This marked the second night in Hollywood. Red Baraat kicked off the night with selections from their latest album (Sounds of the Universe) followed by familiar tunes from their discography. Martin Gore had a couple of solo moments to allow lead singer Dave Gahan a break. The set list had a few surprises compared to the previous night, such as Miles Away/The Truth and Martin's solo encore with Shake the Disease. The performance seemed to pass quickly, leaving the audience wanting more. Overall, a fantastic show!"
